Sometimes it can be difficult to know how to wash a garment made, for example, of cotton and nylon.
No need to panic! The secret is to look at the highest percentage in the fabric composition.
If the label indicates that the T-shirt is made of 75% cotton and 25% nylon, wash it on a cotton cycle following the manufacturer’s instructions, using one of our detergents.
Be careful with wool, silk, and cashmere!
If your favorite linen blouse contains even a very small percentage of silk, it must be treated and washed as a silk item — even if it’s only 1%.
The same rule applies to delicate fibers such as wool or cashmere: no matter the percentage indicated on the label, always wash the garment as you would a wool knit.
Does your scarf contain both wool and silk? Wash it as if it were made of wool only, since wool is the more delicate fiber.
You’ve got it: the most delicate fiber determines the washing method!
