Ink and pen stains can be difficult to treat and often require several attempts. It is best to address these stains as quickly as possible to prevent them from setting into the fabric.
Follow our instructions:
Step 1: Blot excess ink with a paper towel or cloth. Work the stain using our “Le Bleu” stain remover and a soft brush. Continue until the stain begins to fade.
Step 2: Soak the item as needed in a basin of warm water. Add a splash of “Universal Detergent” for additional cleaning power.
Step 3: For stubborn ink stains, use the pressure of your tap water to help lift the stain after soaking. Apply more Le Bleu stain remover as needed.
Step 4: Wash the fabric in your machine using the hottest water temperature safe for the textile (usually hot water for cotton) and a detergent such as our “Universal Detergent” or “Delicate Detergent” for fibers like wool.
Step 5: Air-dry the stained garments to avoid setting any remaining residue. Repeat the process as needed.
If the stain is very stubborn, you may need to repeat the process. Don’t be discouraged — never underestimate the power of repetition!
